Buffalo is home to one of the nation's largest Juneteenth celebrations. The Bills and Sabres Foundations and Pegula Sports and Entertainment have made efforts to transform one of the newer installations at the festival.
The Agricultural Pavilion was introduced at the Juneteenth Celebration in 2019 and it's a space that provides hands-on educational presentations and resources related to current practices and careers in agriculture. The pavilion was set up to also provide access to information regarding food access and connect pavilion visitors with people doing agricultural-related work in the community.

Joel Van Vliet is a comedian and host of a weekly comedy show at Camp Cataract in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Camp Cataracts venue motif is just that… camping and outdoor centric. The piano featured is the piano Joel performs on in the club.
This simple, flat illustration style is popular in gig posters. I decided to try my hand at this style and had the perfect opportunity when I was presented with the chance to design this fun poster.
PicSix Creative is a full-service creative agency based in Buffalo, N.Y. and a member of the Pegula Sports and Entertainment family. We specialize in creating visual experiences to maximize marketing campaigns and branding initiatives, as well as developing marketing plans and strategies that will enhance brand recognition.
New Era is a prestige client of PicSix Creative. Myself along with my team had the opportunity to create 4 NBA Marketing Campaigns for New Era in 2019-20. The campaigns required enormous amounts of strategic planning, communication and interaction with the New Era team right here in Buffalo NY. These 4 campaigns spanned almost an entire year and included a full photoshoot with 2 NBA players in Buffalo, NY.
My role was to lead the design creative for the 4 campaigns. From the idealization faze, conceptual development, execution and final file build out for delivery to numerous parties for production.
Every other Wednesday the Buffalo Bills drop a hot new wallpaper on your desktop. Here are a few of my favs I created.
A personal trainer that prides themselves in all aspects of the body and fitness. This is Corey. Corey is a ray of light and her design aesthetic consisted of nothing less than all the colors. We needed to build a brand that could stand on its own in a sea of fitness professionals and spoke to her true personality and beliefs. Train with her for just one session you will forever be changed.
I wanted this logo to work together, just like your body, it all works together. Integration is various parts leading to a whole. The logo needed to be the same. With a stunning monogram and a circular design this logo was brought together by its dynamic gradient that Corey herself personally chose.
I also shared my process, from inspiration to proofs.
2019 was 50 years for the Buffalo Sabres. To commemorate the 50th a series of poster was designed to represent each game along with each games decade theme. The game I choose was to commemorate The Aud, the arena that the Buffalo Sabres played in until 1996. The Arena that sat vacant for 13 years. The arena that has so much history, celebration, energy and life after death. This arena a never had a personal relationship with but in my immense research on The Aug I was taken back with the chairs. The chairs is all most people talk about. When a patron reminisces about The Aud (Memorial Auditorium) its closely followed by what color chairs they had their seasons in.
The seats were rescued from demolition and now live in infamousy all over Buffalo, NY. This particular chair lives in the now KeyBank Center where the Sabres play their home games. After a photo session with this chair and myself I dug through historical photos to find the perfect reference for the Jumbotron. I wanted the floor to tell the story of all the years and memories its seen. From the old newspaper clipping to the Slice soda can, the cracks and rusty old bolts in the chair. The lights from the Jumbotron and roof shine down on the chair that brought so many memories to so many people.
This year like the past 5 years I have had the opportunity to rebrand the Buffalo Sabres with a new marketing campaign. This year especially being a strange year. The campaign had to convey life, energy and the return to royal. The season look before was heavily branded on the aspect that the return to royal was going to be the biggest thing to Sabres fans since… well… you know. This campaign is on-going and the only aspects that are included on my website are already released pieces. Stay tuned to Buffalo Sabres for more good stuff!
Aenean malesuada mattis volutpat. Nunc molestie neque nec rutrum aliquet. Suspendisse tristique ornare ipsum eget placerat. Sed dignissim finibus ligula, vel porta nisl posuere vitae. Sed in facilisis quam, et ultrices metus. Cras ac imperdiet diam, vel gravida mi. Mauris molestie metus eu lorem lacinia blandit. Integer ut venenatis velit.
The 2018 World Junior Championship (WJC) was hosted in Buffalo from Dec. 26 – Jan 5. WJC is a ten-day tournament featuring the top hockey prospects from all over the world. I had the opportunity to submit a logo design within my team to USA Hockey. I was super excited to find out that the logo I worked on for months was chosen to represent Buffalo, Hockey, and the mother of all countries, the US of A.
Since being awarded such a prestigious honor of being the chosen one, what followed was a year of working (within my organization) on most things WJC. I designed a simple look that could be used across a number of platforms. I also got my feet wet in a number of new areas of design including (but not limited to) large scale mural design, rink design for the USA vs. CAN game, giant snow globes, environmental design, banner ads, banner ads and more banner ads.
Overall the tournament was a huge hit for Buffalo, bringing in lots of outsiders to eat our chicken wings and drink our Labatt’s but we were happy to have them for 10+ days. I gained a lot of industry experience and knowledge throughout the tournament and am glad I was awarded the opportunity.

Occasionally an opportunity presents itself such as PSE opens a new restaurant and you get to be part of conceptualizing the brand. When we start projects like this, we start as a team. All designers in PSE, brainstorm, find inspiration and then come together to present their ideas. These are my favorite projects, because we get to be creative, work together and learn from each other!
The final logo is then presented to team that includes our creative directors and Kim Pegula herself. Careful consideration is taken when choosing and its an exciting time around the office. Unfortunately this design was not chosen as the final BUT the final logo designed by Justin Lowe is fantastic and you should go check it out. The opportunity to be part of the team is still an honor and I love working along side my peers and senior peers that are always pushing my ideas to a new level!
Enjoy!
Carmen and & Lizzy needed a kick ass logo to go with their kick ass sound. This incredibly talented duo of women are local to the Buffalo area, but don’t let that fool you, their sound is beyond global.
We led with some inspiration from other artist they admire and came out with an album that is as sweet as them. I wanted the logo to be airy and light, like their sounds. I wanted you to be able to have room to breath and move through it, while keeping it completely equal, the same way Carmen and Lizzy are equal musicians. We traded out their ampersand with a + to symbolize equality between them.
Their cover was shot by my pal John Baker from Apricity (look him up he rocks, also did my wedding photos) at Delaware Park. He beautifully captured their mystery and loveliness.
I loved working with Carmen and Lizzy and enjoy projects like this the most. Music makes my soul feel good and when I can work on anything music related I am at peace.
Head over to Spotify to check them out!

Half Acre Florist came to me and wanted a sweet simple black and white design to showcase her elegant backyard floral business. I only hope this logo can be as beautiful as her bouquets are.
I had the honor of hand lettering this super rad Save the Date for the now Madia’s. When a client comes to you with an idea that is unique as they are you jump on the opportunity. I had to find a printer that could do black foil on black paper which is harder than you think to find. I happened to find a local printer in Orchard Park, NY called The Pickle Ship.
I met Emma out there one wintery day and we were given an unexpected tour from the 2 brothers that own the family run business. Printing presses older than they are, are still in use today. They saw our vision and shared some samples with us.
We were in, all systems go. To say the least the Save the Dates came in from the press and they were fire.
Impact at Harborcenter in Buffalo, NY recently went through a re-brand, along with a new logo (designed by my colleague Melissa Gebhardt), they needed the facilities re-branded as well. This year they also opened up Impact Cycle and Yoga located on the street level in Harborcenter along Canalside.
Here are some of the murals, elevator, wall and window graphics I designed.

Tyler Ennis came to the Buffalo Sabres Community Relations Department (when he was still in the 716) and said he had a “famous” sauce he wanted to marke,t and all the proceeds go to charity! They said, “Tyler, that’s great” and enlisted the help of my creative team to design the label. After a lot of back and forth and many designs Tyler settled on this really fun illustration of his face with a bold and colorful gradient background for the label.
I don’t get a lot of opportunities to be fully creative and “just go nuts” on a project but this was exactly what I got to do, and he loved it! I actually got to meet him after a game one night and tell him how much fun this project was to work on.
Unfortunately Tyler no longer plays for the Buffalo Sabres, so the sauce is no more, but it was fun while it lasted and supported a few great causes.
Here is a random compilation of logos I think were pretty ok.
Stacey Bank is an extremely talented photographer in the Buffalo, NY area, that needed a brand to show her full-of-life spirit. I love when I get to experiment with hand lettering and Stacey’s logo was the perfect opportunity.
Stay tuned for some print collateral we are working on for her brand!
